Bonaire Culinary Week (also known locally as Bonaire Culinair) is a twice-yearly, 15-day island celebration of food and hospitality. Restaurants across the island craft a fixed-price, three-course special so you can taste more of Bonaire’s culinary talent, whether you’re a first-time visitor or a local foodie. Most venues offer a 3-course menu at a set event price (this can vary per edition), making it the perfect excuse to try someplace new, or come back to a favorite.
How Breeze ’n Bites takes part
At Breeze ’n Bites, we join Bonaire Culinary Week with a seasonal three-course special that showcases fresh island produce and our seaside style. Expect a choice of starter, main and dessert, with optional add-ons from our bar or wine list.
What you can expect
Island-driven dishes Think bright, refreshing starters, local catch and grilled favorites, and a light, tropical dessert to finish. Past highlights have included: a playful Bloody-Mary shrimp starter, Indonesian-style soto ajam, baked fish au gratin, a citrus-ginger chicken skewer, and a warm apple-pineapple crumble with coconut ice cream.
Sunset by the sea Our waterfront setting in Kralendijk makes golden-hour dinners extra special. Arrive a little early to catch the view.
Relaxed service, serious flavor We keep the vibe casual-chic, the plates vibrant, and the hospitality warm.

Dutch owners, island heart
Breeze ’n Bites is run by Dutch owners Dick and Frank , who brought their love of warm hospitality to Bonaire’s shoreline. You’ll often find them on the floor, welcoming guests, sharing local tips, and making sure every plate (and sunset view) is just right. Their kitchen blends Caribbean freshness with European technique, while the service stays relaxed, personal, and multilingual (English/Dutch). It’s the kind of place where you’re greeted as a guest and leave as a regular.
